ABOUT TCWSE

Why Join Us?

TCWSE was founded in 1984 to give Texas’ growing number of women school executives a strong network of support and a forum in which to share ideas. For almost 40 years, our organization has fostered women’s careers by recognizing excellence and inspiring achievement.

TCWSE provides a strong support system for women administrators, both those already in careers in school administration and those who may need encouragement to enter the executive ranks. We invite you to be part of TCWSE!

Join TCWSE online via TASA’s Member Services Center. You will need to log in if you already have an account or create an account.

Questions about joining or renewing? Please contact TCWSE Executive Assistant Debbie O’Donnell at TASA: 512.477.6361 or 800.725.8272.

We're all about connecting, collaborating, and coaching!

TCWSE is a dynamic community, and we want you to be an active part of it! Join us to take advantage of the benefits of TCWSE membership for incredibly low annual dues.

Networking & Mentoring

TCWSE provides our members with the opportunity to be paired with mentors who can provide expert advice on career advancement. Connect with colleagues across the state and make new professional contacts. Members find support through both regional and statewide groups, benefiting from coaching and collaborating with other successful women administrators who are eager to share their experiences and expertise.

Conferences & Events

TCWSE members receive a special discounted rate to attend the TCWSE Annual Conference, which is designed for current and aspiring school executives who value extensive professional information, personal growth, and networking opportunities. The conference is an opportunity for TCWSE members to get together to discuss the issues and challenges that women administrators face, while making new connections and catching up with old friends.

TCWSE members may also participate in their regional councils. Through social and informational programs hosted by your council, you have the opportunity to meet and discuss topics relevant to administrators in your region as well as those of particular significance to women.

TCWSE members may also participate in ongoing book studies and online conversations throughout the year.

INFORMATION & SUPPORT

The Journal of Texas Women School Executives (JTWSE) is the official publication of TCWSE. It emphasizes women in educational leadership and will help you stay current on research and practice, providing insights on being a woman in leadership and the accompanying challenges, advantages, and barriers. TCWSE members are invited to submit proposals for journal submissions.

TCWSE members also stay up to date via a monthly newsletter with regional highlights and professional tips.
